Changes to General Education Requirements beginning Fall of 2007 (20081)
As you may already know, there have been some changes to the general education requirements for Associate in Arts Degree programs at BCC beginning this Fall (Fall of 2007, catalog year 20081) that may affect you. There are some courses that have been added to the list of "writing courses" (courses that fulfill the writing requirement for Associate in Arts degree majors). This affects all A.A degree seeking students, regardless of catalog year. Please contact your campuses Advisement/Counseling office to discuss how this may affect you. In most cases, this simply gives students more options to choose from when fulfilling the writing requirement.
In addition, there have been some changes to general education requirements, specifically the computer competency and wellness requirements, that only affect A.A degree seeking students who are new to BCC beginning this fall (Fall of 2007, catalog year 20081). Please contact your campuses Advisement/Counseling office to discuss these changes and how they may affect you.
